1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. The Service and beta status

Effin Money helps you track budgets, spending, net worth, and portfolios, and (for certain plans) forecast and plan for the future. The Service is currently offered as a closed beta. That means features may change, be added, or be removed, and the Service may contain errors or be unavailable from time to time. We provide the beta “as is” and may modify or discontinue any part of it at any time.

4. Your account

You sign in using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google Account you use and for all activity that occurs under your Effin Money account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Effin Money is currently free during the closed beta. We expect to offer paid plans — Pro ($60/year) and Elite ($100/year) — alongside a Free tier. The following terms apply once paid plans become available:

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on the cadence shown at purchase and, unless stated otherwise, renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals, and access continues through the end of your current paid period.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at the time of purchase.
• We may change plan pricing or features prospectively, with notice before the change applies to your renewal.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users’ data.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service except as permitted by law.
• Upload malicious code or interfere with the Service’s operation.

7. Your data and responsibility

You retain ownership of the financial data you enter or import. You are responsible for the accuracy of that data, and you grant us the limited rights needed to store and process it to provide the Service. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Not financial advice

Effin Money provides tools and informational outputs, including budgets, analyses, forecasts, simulations, and retirement and tax projections. These are for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. They rely on assumptions and the data you provide and may not reflect your actual results. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions and should consult a qualified professional before acting.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding your data), is owned by METAFORIQ LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outputs will be accurate or complete.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, METAFORIQ LLC and its members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or financial outcomes, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless METAFORIQ LLC from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Oregon will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
